The Color Proofs Have Arrived!
We've received the proofs for SMASH: Book One. These are the cover, plus the first 16 and last 16 pages, which we've been sent to double-check the colors and make sure everything is printing correctly. Here's Kyle looking them over:

The Book Is Finished!
We've just submitted the last colored pages to our publisher, Candlewick Press! And we feel like this:
There's still more work to be done before the Fall 2013 publication date: proofreading, advanced galleys, and whatnot. But after two years of adding new pages, revising old ones, and recoloring the entire 157 pages, we are FINISHED and it feels too good to think about anything else! We truly cannot wait to show you the results.

The Dark Knight Falls!
Growing up, Kyle was as obsessed with Batman as I was with Spider-Man. That said, I'm not terribly interested in this summer's Spider-Man reboot (although Kyle said he liked it) — but I've already seen The Dark Knight Rises twice (and plan to see it again).
