This Wednesday… the showdown!

SMASH Episode 10 premieres Wednesday, June 28th, 2009!

I recently bought Scott McCloud’s Making Comics: Storytelling Secrets of Comics, Manga and Graphic Novels.

This book is incredible! If you want to know the true potential of what comics can be, then read it! Comics are an exciting medium for storytelling, and can enhance the reading experience. I think McCloud understands this better than anyone, and his book has become an invaluablable tool for drawing and a great source of inspiration to me.

(If you look closely, you might even notice the influence on Episode 10, which is coming soon!)

This picture of a certain pint-sized superhero was drawn by our very own colorist, Sarah Barrie Fenton!

It’s Sarah’s goodbye to the little guy — but just for a few months, as she’s spending her summer at art camp.

As far as we know, it’s the first Smash picture not drawn by Kyle. But we’d love to see more! If you’ve got a Smash picture you want to share (and/or want us to share with the rest of the world), send it our way!

We might even give ya free swag for it.
